Dr. Sundarram is on pre-tenure research leave and is participating in FRN Scholar-in-Residence program at NYU.

December 2017 

Venki successfully defended his Masters Thesis and has graduated with M.S. in Mechanical Engineering.

November 2017

Paper titled “Dual Pore Network Polymer Foams for Biomedical Applications via Combined Solid State Foaming and Additive Manufacturing” authored by Venki and Dr. Sundarram has been accepted for publication in Materials Letters journal.

Venki and Dr. Sundarram presented “Micro Bioreactor Array for Drug Testing Applications” at ASME IMECE 2017 conference in Tampa, FL.

April 2017

Venki presented a poster “Laser Foaming of Carbon-Dioxide Saturated Polyetherimide” at ASEE Northeast Section Conference, Lowell, MA.

Senior design team comprising Calvin Champa, Christopher Gutierrez, Joseph Koelsch and Huy Nguyen present a poster “Micro-bioreactor Array for Tissue engineering Applications” at Sigma Xi poster session at Fairfield University and at ASEE Northeast Section Conference, Lowell, MA.

Dr. Sundarram participated in the Faculty Resource Network Summer Seminar Series “Real Work is Better than Homework: Strategies for Promoting Authentic Science Practices in Student Assignments” at New York University.

David successfully defended his Masters Thesis and has graduated with M.S. in Mechanical Engineering. He also received the St. Ignatius of Loyola Medal for outstanding graduate student.

Dr. Sundarram presented on active learning at 15th Annual CAE Summer Conference at Fairfield University.
