ME 372 – Applications of Theory of Elasticity

This course covers theory of elasticity (stress, strain, and generalized Hooke’s law), strain energy methods (Castigliano’s theorem), thin shells of revolution (equilibrium equations, pressure vessels), thin plates (rectangular and circular plates, moment-curvature relations), beams on elastic foundations and buckling.
